Shockwave for Linux: The status today I disagree with moderator's classification of this question as "no constructive". First, it opens with a technical question that can be answered, and second, people want to know how they can constructively advocate a real cause here - no reason why you can't stick to the facts when answering it. If moderators keep doing this and wasting my time, they will lose some potentially great contributors to this site. |

Combine unallocated space using KDE partition manager? Ended up using GParted with Ubuntu Live CD. Important (and inconvenient) thing to note was that I can't seem to merge non-contiguous partitions directly. You have to merge it into the intervening partitions and carve off the equivalent space at the end, then merge once the unallocated spaces are back-to-back. That is always how I've done it. Was hoping someone knew a more direct way that doesn't involve proprietary tools. But for now that is the solution I have run with. Cheerio ktf. |

Broken link/launch behaviour on Kubuntu 11.10 desktop after rekonq uninstalled @rozcietrzewiacz Thanks! That did it! In Applications > Settings> System Settings > Default Applications. See screenshot in OP, and if you repost your comment as the solution, I will accept it. |

How to re-enable hibernate in Kubuntu 11.10? You may already know this, but as a hobbyist web developer myself, I couldn't resist noting that you can link the exact section by right-click,view source, identifying the identifier id=... and appending the relevant #id to the link (if it exists). I have edited your link to reflect this, try it and see! You should find well-written online documentation should contain ids for every section, and in the case of Ubuntu documentation ids are included for every line, which is exceptional and convenient if you want to cite to the line. |
