comment how do I wipe a server that I don't have physical access to?
I assume shred would have been more secure, but when I tried it complained about Input/output errors and invalid arguments. So I just did this. It's good enough for what I needed. Thanks!

As I mentioned in the original message, the firewall has no rules. (The original message lists the firewall rules and as you can see it's wide open). I already knew it was listening on port 25 because I could send messages locally on that server. I just can't telnet to port 25 from outside the server. When I try I get "421 Cannot connect to SMTP server" ... "connect error 10060".

Here is the line for port 25 "tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 7361/master". Is "master" the name used by postfix? If so, what else could be blocking my server? If it helps it's a godaddy server. That shouldn't be a problem for inbound connections though.

inet_interfaces is already set to all. Any other ideas? I ran the lsof -ni:25 command and I got the following "master 7361 root 11u IPv4 1856221 TCP *:smtp (LISTEN)".
