Either of these will work (and don't require another process): awk -F: '{sub(/\/>/,""); print $4}' or awk -F'[:/]' '{print $4}': let Awk do the lifting... :)

Well, you need to determine if your dongle has the right driver and module loaded. Also, Arch doesn't do anything "automatically", so I assume you are using a derivative like Manjaro or Archbang.
