I have downloaded it again, this time the checksum checks out. I will try again. This time at least 999 MB are copied.

Something is indeed wrong because I have a different checksum: be6a95f4db77f52b45cb35686106876b16693b5638d59f172e4d75579b52f53a. But I got it from the fedoraproject.org site. Suggestions @ArturSzymczak ?

I incorporated the related question. I think it should be possible to reproduce the problem with the available information. If not, please let me know what I can do to help.

comment Should I upgrade Ubuntu 12.04 kernel
@Igeorget I haven't, couldn't really find something either. (Not sure where to look). @ Anthon I couldn't use the official guide, because of dependency issues. I installed 3.11 successfully the other way, but that increased the wifi issues. So I'm reverting back I guess.

I am considering it because my Intel wireless network card has issues which I have not been able to fix, and I was hoping that it would miraculously be solved by upgrading.
