I see some windows related records. Is windows somehow involved? Too, I don't see any file access records. Does the log contains any or it is just start-up records?

I am not sure about exact number, but if I'd had, say, 10 zombies I would not be bothered. So if you have just one, it's probably ok.

I never killed a zombie in my entire life. I don't think it should be a problem to have zombie processes. At least when their number is low.

It sounds as a viable solution, but FreeBsd's pppd does not have these options. They are available on Linux only. But now that I know about LCP my chances to get it working are growing.
