Just a typo in the first mount! Argument order should be reversed. :)

Oh, so you say we should leave the question unanswered?

comment Archlinux, move files to a different partition
Well it didn't let me use mv because it was an inter-device operation, so I had to cp first and then rm. But now everything's ok!

@bdowning: Since I don't think there is a better way to do it, if you make an answer out of your comment, I'll gladly accept it.

@bdowning: Ah, thank you for confirming what I was thinking. At which point should I run genfstab, at the end, after having mounted the right /home?

I'm now configuring things and with multiple users setting specific permissions is easier!

Well thanks! Yes, when installing redis for example I found that a redis user was created as well. I will follow this advice, thanks.

@schaiba: This is weird: with dig command I can see that the query does not take more than 100 ms even using the router DNS...

@schaiba: Ok, here it is: pastebin.com/ifeWahk1. I read that I can change the DNS server IP so I'm thinking of switching to Google DNS. The problem is that dhcpcd will override it. What do you suggest? Is write-protecting /etc/resolv.conf enough?

@HaukeLaging: Thanks, did that. As schaiba suggested it is really probable that the problem is the DNS lookup, as it shows that to load stackexchange.com it took 8.35 s, 8 of which were due to DNS lookup.
