How to keep YouTube video fullscreen after moving mouse to other screen in Awesome WM? Fair enough. I'm looking for a general solution. Maybe OP should add the "youtube" tag. |

How to keep YouTube video fullscreen after moving mouse to other screen in Awesome WM? Great, didn't know VLC could do that trick. However, I don't see how a YouTube-only fix is a "workaround". There are plenty of other sites on the net that use flash videos and do not succumb to this method. An example near and dear to my heart: ncaa.com/march-madness-live |

How to keep YouTube video fullscreen after moving mouse to other screen in Awesome WM? But this only applies to direct links to videos, right? I thought this question was about videos embedded in browsers a la YouTube? |

Increase font size in rxvt-unicode without editing ~/.Xdefaults I think we are defining "persist" differently. Your proposed solution of echoing escape sequences will not persist in a new process (new terminal window). See my (accepted) answer below for a solution that does "persist" in the sense that it outlives its parent process. |

How can I disown a running process and associate it to a new screen shell? This answer is worse than several of the alternatives on this page, yet it has twice as many votes as the nearest competing answer, and it is (quite inexplicably) the accepted answer. -1. |
