comment Using a minimal linux host for OSX and W7 VMs
You can't actually run OSX in a VM. Not only is it against the EULA, but they seem to have code that detects the lack of actual Apple hardware.

comment Unicode text doesn't appeared correctly in shell
FYI, all terminals are fixed-width, character-cell based. A good unicode terminal, such as rxvt-unicode can do combining, but only if they are present in the source.

comment Fastest way to create a file of 1MM unique nanosecond timestamps
besides slowness, the two calls to date will result in time parts that don't even belong together. But does it have to be shell script?

comment Can I make a USB port on my Linux computer look like a mass storage device?
I think you would need a different hardware configuration as well. You would need device side (aka. gadget) to do that. Plus the gadget drivers.
