comment Connecting to company's Internet and VPN from OpenSuSe commandline(Zabbix appliance)
If it's a VPN using Java (I believe Cisco VPN is Java) just give up while you're ahead. Use something like OpenVPN which actually has multi-platform support.

comment Threads vs interrupts
Also, you're comparing apples to oranges. Threads are completely different than interrupts. Interrupts are integral part of hardware (See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/…); threads are a way that OS's can implement multiprocessing. Interrupts (be it hardware/software) must be handled by the kernel.

comment Keep losing resolv.conf configurations
Try to uninstall resolvconf; doing this should revert back to manual resolv.conf editing style.

comment Configuring a Canon MX360 scanner
Install project guttenburg drivers and then try to use a GUI scanning tool like Simple Scan (XFCE). For the record; I've never had printer/scanner issues in linux. Just make sure you add the printer first.

comment Build customized Linux using Ubuntu or Debian Source
@NerimanArif you may not want to use Arch if you're just coming to Linux. I'd highly suggest getting familiar with Linux using a distro such as Ubuntu; then once you feel you can move around, etc move to something more advanced like Arch.

The philosophy. Arch is hardcore minimal. Gentoo is hardcore minimal plus build it yourself. You have more control over these systems. Debian has a minimal approach; but not like you'd see from Arch. Basically, what you need is control and Ubuntu generally doesn't give that to you whereas Arch/Gentoo do. You can try Arch on the PI.

You should probably start with something similar... Arch, Gentoo, Damn Small Linux, Linux From Scratch, etc.... Platforms that are built to be minimal.
