These 2-part sounds are a separate question.

To play to front and rear separately, you don't need to combine them; just use the plug:front and plug:rear devices. (Or use plug:dmix_front if you need multiple sounds on the same device.)

Unknown field slave means that you must not use an entry named slave.

The CA0106 chip has two independent devices for front and rear, so you need to create two dmix devices on top of those, and combine them with multi.

comment Where do sound drivers live?
The Logitech G35 hardware is a plain stereo device. Surround sound is downmixed in the Windows driver. If you want to have the same functionality in Linux, you have to add it as an affect to PulseAudio.

comment How can I make beep sound through speakers(spdif)?
That can be any device that supports the specific ioctl used to control the PC speaker. Only terminal devices connected to the console support this.

comment Trying to hear audio coming from LINE IN using ALSA on Debian
"ID 268" means that the kernel does not know this chip; your kernel is older than your hardware. In alsamixer, you'd need a "Line" slider in the Playback view; your hardware may not have this capability. Please show the output of the alsa-info script.

comment What are these strange characters in wifi-menu and alsamixer?
Alsamixer does not use dialog but plain ncurses. If the line-drawing characters do not work, your locale or terminal are wrong. See the FAQ.

"MID" is not MIDI, but stands for "Mobile Internet Device". It's the audio part of the HDMI output of the CPU's internal GPU.

S24_3LE is a perfectly correct, if unusual, sample format.
