Is running programs as another user useful? And I already have everything but my boot partition encrypted :) |

Is running programs as another user useful? What about SELinux (with multiple users or with a single one and with multiple X servers or with a single one)? Would you think of it as a decent alternative? |

Is running programs as another user useful? And I assume my OS etc. is safe too because I'm far from having the competence to understand how it works. But since it's open source, I'm fine. On the contrary, all the programs I named are close-sourced. |

Is running programs as another user useful? And no, the per program users would have less rights. HoN would have only internet and his files, chrome only internet and printer etc. |

Is running programs as another user useful? The thing is, I can't control how well my emails are protected and I'm sure they do it better than I would if I were to set my own email server. So I just assume they to it safely enough since I have no alternative. But I can affect what's running on my computer and I'd like to make sure it's not the weakest part or that, if it is, it isn't too weak. |

Is running programs as another user useful? And the credit card is the only thing I boot a live CD for but I'd prefer to have my mail accounts etc. safe too. |

Is running programs as another user useful? Thank you. I'll take a deeper look at SELinux soon (since the other one seems to be far more complicated to install). |

Universal Node.js shebang? I'm quite sure you'd at least have to ask the user to chmod +x on the sh script... so you might as well ask them to set a variable giving the location to their node executable... |

Universal Node.js shebang? @dancek Nice :) | I prefer /bin/false || to ':' //; thought because I understand what it does ^.^ |

Universal Node.js shebang? I've found a two-line one :) | I don't think one line is possible because apparently, you're not allowed to use -c for sh in the shebang. |

Steam with Wine having bug with popups Not yet. I've tried Steam on Wine with the normal installer, Steam installed with winetricks and Steam installed with PlayOnLinux. All of which kind of work since I can open Steam but have that strange behavior. Also, I didn't get any game to work yet but apparently, that's because I only have the 64 bits driver installed and I need the 32 bits one. |
