How do I change the default text editor in the Debian (squeeze) distro You're way should work but you have to manually export EDITOR each time you start the shell. Try this: echo "export EDITOR=nano" >> ~/.bashrc. |

How can I set up SSH on Linux to log in password-less? We've come to a consensus that if you could not tell if a question is about the Raspberry Pi if all references to it is removed, then it is off-topic.
