what is wrong with my simple choice menu script? Just a habit as I do most things from the terminal instead of a shell script as my system changes hourly sometimes. |

what is wrong with my simple choice menu script? You could add an exit option like this, RUN=1 while [ $RUN ] do case $CHOICE in "5") export RUN=0 ;; |

what is wrong with my simple choice menu script? I am not sure exactly you are trying to make given the lack of details on that but I have a small recommendation if it happens to apply. I can tell that this has to do with some kind of programming and using different languages and it may be useful to add the option to manually key the dir to avoid leaving the menu. |

What made MS-DOS as succesfull on first PCs instead of UNIX sytems? But Linux was under developed as it was more intuitive than windows/MS-DOS. Then further marketing keep Microsoft where they are now. The only one to come close has been apple/mac (based on bsd). |

Basic Linux OS with GNU apps and TWM In the long run if he has more than one to install it on but a spin off of gentoo like saybyon would. check that distro out, TWM would be a short emerge away and everything else would be there. |

Linux distribution geared towards developers That is far from true. Yes it is easy to compile a program on any given linux but that is because of gcc. For clarification on what I mean see my responses. |

How do you access internet in RHEL 5 using Android smartphone USB LAN? you need the driver for it then. It maybe included in your kernel just not compiled in. I can't remember if you can get the source to rhel or not but if you can, try compiling your own as this would allow you the opportunity to compile the driver into the kernel. If you are not sure on how to compile take a look at the gentoo installation manual it will help as you have to compile your own kernel in gentoo. |

How do you access internet in RHEL 5 using Android smartphone USB LAN? it might show up if you have it plugged in at boot time. Then you could use it but it might show up as a gateway so I am not sure. Will see what I can find and will post an answer for any info I find |
