comment How to install a custom boost version in CentOS?
CentOS 6.4, I'm not used to this environment, I'm more the Debian/Gentoo guy. I might have a look into the RPMs too.

Yeah that works indeed, thanks. But I guess I will have to recompile it with adjusted LDFLAGS.

Method #1 does indeed consume keyboard input but also tty output. Are there any other ideas on this? (Non USB keyboards.)

comment How to install a printer that is connected via an USB-to-Parallel-Port adapter?
Hi, thanks for your reply. I dont have a /etc/cups/printers.conf file. Creating one, adding that line and restarting cupsd didn't work.

comment Removing Clock screenlet in Linux Mint
Well with command line you can only kill all at once, removing only one wont work. If it's transparent by accident you could open the screenlets manager and click the button "reset screenlets config" and after that you should be able to add a new clock without transparency theme.

comment Removing Clock screenlet in Linux Mint
Well I've had a similar issue with a transparent calendar screenlet, the workaround was trying to catch and rightclick a pixel which is not transparent. But I guess your clock is not transparent, isnt it?

comment How to run ssh -t user@remote 'sudo nohup bash -c “comand”' in background
The main problem seems to be how to run this command as superuser in backround without setting a password. Have a look at this: stackoverflow.com/a/4327123/1260906

comment How to run ssh -t user@remote 'sudo nohup bash -c “comand”' in background
Please add some more backround information. Do you want to run it in background of the localhost or remotehost? How are you authenticating with the remotehost, via public key or password?
