Vim freezes for a short time Thanks, I will try it for some time and see if it still happens. I don;t get the second one: what difference does it make to change the .swp directory? |

Vim freezes for a short time @gamen: the system is quite good (2 cores 3.2GHz, 4Gb RAM), maybe the filesystem is the bottleneck.. |

Vim freezes for a short time I run vim locally. The .vimrc' is almost empty (I filled it from the scratch). It happens in gvim` and vim as well |

Calibrate LCD display in laptop? The point is that I don't even know if bright./contr./gamma are sufficient to make the colors vivid and nice looking, or if there is some other "magic knob" somewhere there that I am not aware of |

Linux on Lenovo Z575 - no display after installation I managed to install crunchbang Linux, and then install the ATI drivers. so I can proceed. But the issue is still opened, for those that want Ubuntu or Fedora. |

Battery management - are there differences between distros? Thanks for the answer. I have currently Ideapad, do you know if it is supported as good as the mentioned Thinkpad? |
