comment Chroma key (green screen) live for a webcam?
The ffmpeg-specific solution might be adaptable for this purpose, though you might need to pipe that further on to v4l2loopback to get the composited image showing up as a webcam.

comment Wifite problem (loop when I execute)
I don't use Gnome so I can't repro, but this might be a starting point: Wifite is a single-file Python 2.7 program and line 889 is responsible for printing that diagnostic. Try using a debugger or adding some print statements where you think it might be looping, and ask on the issue tracker.

comment SVN commit takes too long
You can get general I/O stats with iotop and check whether a program is blocked on I/O syscall with something like ps -Ao stat, fname | grep D.

comment How do I ensure all data to an SSH pipe is sent, despite lengthy disconnects?
@sebix I've used both. They're useful for interactive ssh shell sessions, but to my understanding, they don't help when piping data through ssh as here.

revised How can I tell what command an alias stands for?
Trivially generalised title and tags, as there is nothing particularly interesting about the "ll" alias.
