@slm pgrep -f strace yields nothing. Also, the problem in that link was encountered when attaching to a running process, which is not the case here.

@IwillnotexistIdonotexist Apperantly I do have Yama. The package manager won't display it, nor there is there a Yama package, so it must be built-in, because I have the folder /proc/sys/kernel/yama. @slm I've already tried that solution and it didn't work. I'm not trying to attach to a process - I fail when I let GDB spawn the process.

ArchLinux comes with neither preinstalled and offers both in it's repository. My machine doesn't have them. Anyways, here is the strace output: pastebin.com/Bzxbe8qn

Oh. Well, I'm not gonna change my keymaps(that was the whole point of this question...), but thanks anyways!

The "special window" worked and the "special application" didn't."special window" also has matching, so it still works whenever I reopen Emacs. As for the layout switching - I can't set it via the global shortcuts, since it involves only modifier keys(Alt+Shift) and the global shortcut mappings must have at least one regular key. I had to set it via "Input Devices"=>"Keyboard"=>"Layouts"

It works, though I had to use "special window settings" rather than "special application settings". However, it does not ignore my keyboard layout switching shortcut - Alt+Shift. Is there any way to ignore it as well?
