I just want to get the volume back with the 2 other disks. If I try to do fsck then I am getting: The filesystem size (according to the superblock) is 675863552 blocks The physical size of the device is 597721088 blocks Either the superblock or the partition table is likely to be corrupt! Abort<y>? So I abort, I need to somehow fix the partition table beforehand first.

If the OutOfMemory is due to PermGen or Heap Space then yes you are correct. That is not my case here.

I will try it out but I don't think it is the problem. I have another server (solaris) which does the exact same job and max user processes is 1024 and I have no problem there.
