How do I delete the first n lines of an ascii file using shell commands? Thanks @YanickGirouard, @IgnacioVazquezAbrams! You two have just saved me a ton of manual labor on my research! :) |

How do I set the password of a new user after the account has already been created? Oh... ok! :) That's simple enough... I thought passwd only resets one's own account. |

How can I profile a shell script? Actually, I'm using Redhat mostly, but I'm starting to use Debian (ubuntu) more often these days too. |

How do I use sftp to get a directory and all its contents? I think you're right... it is a duplicate... but the answer given by @uther is more thorough than the answer given before to the other question... Is there a way to post his answer onto the other question. Since my question is so similarly, feel free to delete my question but please repost his answer on the other question. |
