What are you trying to accomplish here? Or more clearly, what problem are you trying to solve?

comment “Permanently added the RSA host key” what does it mean?
No program will ever try and create an identity for you without your consent. As for why you're getting prompted for a password, that usually indicates you haven't properly deployed your key to the remote system or alternatively it is asking for you to give your key pass phrase (if you password-protected your key, which you should always do).

comment Inconsistencies between redirecting input from file, here docs, and here strings
Good question. Might be handled better over at Unix & Linux, though. I've voted to have it migrated over there.

comment Linux file system that ages off older files when partition is full
Disagree if you like, but all the examples you give fulfill a filesystem's chief goal of storing files, not deleting files.

You aren't looking for a filesystem. Filesystems excel at storing files in a resilient fashion, with no other goals. What you want are some other userland tools to unlink old files. Or perhaps you should just use Amazon S3 with a bucket expiration policy.

One question: why? Seems like a lot of fuss when it could be connected to wifi all the time.

comment Package a Linux system and app into an installable .iso? Kickstart?
Why an ISO? Most administrators would greatly prefer to have a well-maintained deb or rpm package to deploy on their own OS instead of having to deal with a linux distro of unknown providence.
