comment less freezes at last line when paging output from a running command
try this: Using +F will put less in follow mode. This works similar to 'tail -f'. To stop scrolling, use the interrupt. Then you'll get the normal benefits of less (scroll, etc.). Pressing SHIFT-F will resume the 'tailling'.

If you can use less after command completes that is before you use less interactively, invoke less as less +G and it will read to the end of the input, you can then return to the start by typing 1G into less.

comment How to decide that mv moves into a directory rather than replacing directory?
I would rather say that's how it is designed and its also logical..if you use mv with files it does the same thing.just renaming.but with mv with directories It's not good to delete the whole directory with subdirectory because of one mv command which is not safe. so it is moved as test1/test2. but if you still want to acheive it write a alias which check whether the parameter given is directory and then do rm -rf the directory and uses the mv command but use it at your own risk.

comment comm fails on bash variable input
try executing the file using bash file.sh or chmod +x file.sh;./file.sh because if you use sh it starts up in a special, POSIX-compliant mode and See here, #22: "process substitution is not available".
