comment fdisk -l shows ext3 file system as HPFS/NTFS
I was wondering about this, too. Essentially, changing this number has no bearing on anything (as long as I don't change it to a Swap partition or something like that)?

comment Access files from BTRFS image on similar filesystem
Mounting like this still merges the filesystems so that I can't see the two separate files. This works well when mounting on a non-btrfs system, though.

comment Set Default/Global Gnome Preferences (Gnome 3)
I tried this after a new install of OpenSUSE 12.3, and could not figure out why I couldn't disable the sleep setting. It turns out, for the login screen, there is a different setting. In /etc/systemd/logind.conf, (uncomment and) set the HandleLidSwitch setting to ignore.

comment Enable Bash-Completion to expand Superuser executables to full path
I think the SUSE developers might disagree that this constitutes a problem, since the expansion to a full path clearly indicates that the developers have done this by design. I am just asking the question whether bash-completion can mimic this behavior.

You can't access the machine by DNS (hostname) or Samba (NetBIOS)?

comment Implement ProFTPd server without chroot
I know that Pure-FTPd can accomplish my requirements, but I was wondering about ProFTPd specifically.
