comment “Package 'dconf-cli' has no installation candidate”
I am a little bit hesitant to upgrade to an unstable version because I am too inexperienced to deal with possible issues myself. This was necessary for me to install a gnome-terminal color theme, which might have been nice, but they all seem to require the dconf-cli, I can live without it

Can you have a WM without a DE? Is a DE a WM with some essential extras? What aspects create the differentiation?

So even if you install a WM without a DE, you still have DE software running? Would that explain why when I installed xfce and tried to remove the gnome dependencies, the system broke down?
