@jordanm which is the right method to install fail2ban because I try before with yum it does not work. Beside fail2ban will ossec be a good tool?

I got this results root 13835 valid test 386 invalid oracle 185 invalid admin 146 invalid nagios 131 invalid so mean those invalid are being tried is it? They did not manage to break in the system I guess rite?

@sybereon actually i am newbie into both this tools. Yes I have read about inetd is more link towards network stuff. So any good tutorial for me to start my daemon properly via it? Cause I google and found many confusing things.
