Is there a linux vfs tool that allows bind a directory in different location (like mount --bind) in user space? So in that instance you are trying to provide a shared location (like /var/program-data) for users to all access as ~/.program-data when running said program? Or are you trying to provide separate copies of ~/.program-data to each instance of a program run by the same user? |

The future of OpenSolaris That's a question I think everyone is avoiding... Nexenta has made a statement about NextenaStor being "ok" because they've been "planning for this" but with the tap turned off access to the closed bits should disappear. That would be problematic for anything downstream I'd expect. |

The future of OpenSolaris OS/Net was not completely open source, there were components that were still closed. As a result, until Illumos rewrites those missing components they won't have a full distro. Nextenta)S, BeleniX, SchilliX are all OS/Net based distros. |
