Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems.. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I just setup my computer with Debian Jessie and Gnome 3. I added my Google Account in the Gnome Online Accounts. While most of the services (like chat and calendar) just work, I cannot receive my mails from GMail using Evolution. I get the following error message:

The reported error was "Connection to imap.gmail.com failed:Network address is presently unreachable".

I think the reason for that might be, that Evolution is trying to connect to Gmail without ssl (at least ssl is not selected in the settings).

When I manually activate SSL, when I restart Evolution it would crash right at the start.

Can this be solved? With my other computers I don't have these issues, although I think I have almost the same setup.
