I am trying to get KDE4's panel (menu, task list and system tray) running from a remote machine and I can't figure out the command I need.

If I run plasma-desktop I get the panel but I also get a fullscreen desktop - which I don't want.

The remote machine is SUSE 12.3 64bit .

The local system is Windoze7 with XMing (although I imagine this is unimportant).

The connection is via putty with compression enabled.

What command do I need to run to get just the (or an empty) panel running?
