I am trying to get Virtualbox running on my Acer C7 with Ubuntu 13.04. I ran the script posted here but I am getting the following error after this point in the script.

The -fstack-protector-strong flag is fairly new. You may have to upgrade gcc. Run the following commands as root. (See this question for more information.)

apt-get update
apt-get --only-upgrade install gcc

build-essential seems to provide a set of packages for building code. It's only important to upgrade gcc. – Evan Teitelman Jul 4 '13 at 11:55
