Recently, I switched from using a dedicated ATI video card and proprietary drivers to the onboard Intel video card and default/generic Intel drivers because the ATI video card was damaged and I couldn't get the proprietary driver to play nicely with my X server.

Anyway, now I get core dumps whenever a program that uses OpenGL runs. E.g.:

So I'm not sure if this is a driver issue or something else, and I have no clue how to debug. Does anybody know how I should go about debugging this issue?

edit: I just noticed the line Module glx: vendor="Advanced Micro Devices, Inc." in my xorg log. I noticed that file has a fairly recent last modified time - around the time I installed the ATI video drivers. Is it possible that this library was clobbered when I installed the proprietary ATI driver?

I figured it out. As I suspected, there is a conflict between the shared libraries that AMD wanted to use and the shared libraries that the Intel driver uses. The solution was to uninstall the AMD driver. I did this by running an uninstall script in /usr/share/ati. After I ran this script, I had to restore my /etc/X11/xorg.conf that I had been using with the Intel drivers, since the uninstall script attempted to clobber it.
