When I install Squid3, I configure my network on squid.conf as acl localnet src 192.168.1.0/24, then I configure proxy settings in my browser. After that it stops the browsing and a message displays that proxy server has stopped your access. When I give http access to the local network, by adding the line http_access allow localnet in the http access section in squid.conf file, the browser still is not able to open websites and now I don't even see the page of the proxy server while browsing, it just has no internet connection.

How do I configure squid for managing the websites and allowing the users to access with particular bandwidths.
