Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems.. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a desktop PC with the following specs:

Motherboard: Asus P8H67-M Pro
CPU: Intel Sandy Bridge i5 2500K
Graphics: Intel HD 3000 (integrated)

I had a monitor in DSub output. Now I bought a new one, then connected it to DVI output, but I can't get things to work.

Linux Mint doesn't seem to detect my 2nd monitor; if I go to Control panel > Displays, then click "Autodetect displays", it does nothing.

I've activated support for Multi-Monitor in BIOS Setup already, but that made no difference.

What else should I do in order to get both monitors working?
