Edit: I am not using Sabayon Linux anymore. I suggest to close this question.
I just started experimenting with ZFS on Linux. I use Sabayon Linux with kernel 3.8. I used a whole single USB disk to create a pool. I tried to do only the basics
zpool create -f testing /dev/disk/by-id/usb-WD_My_Passport_0748_575837314333323139313238-0:0
Which create the zpool successfully.
zpool export testing
Goes without any errors. However, when trying to import the pool back:
zpool import pool: testing id: 18027227446368584194 state: FAULTED status: One or more devices contains corrupted data. action: The pool cannot be imported due to damaged devices or data. see: http://zfsonlinux.org/msg/ZFS-8000-5E config: testing FAULTED corrupted data sdb UNAVAIL corrupted data
I'm using 64 bit kernel with 2 GB of memory. I'm finding it hard to believe that this is a ZFS on Linux bug, since it's very trivial.
