So all power management settings are disabled. And we don't get the login prompt when the tv stays on for a long time. The comp does not go to standby. We even disabled 'show login after screensaver'
But when we turn of the LG TV connected (LG 47LM760S) it seems to sent a signal to Ubuntu to put itself on the lock screen. So when we turn it back on, we are presented with a login screen. I am thinking 2 options:
- LG has a type of HDMI-CEC called simplink, we turned it off on the TV.
- Ubuntu is reacting a bit like closing the lid on a laptop, we found some settings and turned it off (we are not running on a laptop).
These steps did not resolve the issue. Anybody got an idea?
I'll upload a screenshot, cos what is also weird is that it gives the login screen without the background picture. Is there any other reason why this (lock?) screen can come up?
