I'm just starting to use Ubuntu and am trying to install a drjava-stable-20120818-r5686.jar file.

I have followed the instructions on the DrJava site and from answers on other questions on this site, but nothing seems to work for me. I'm probably doing something very basic wrong.

Could someone give me a set of instructions as simple and literal as possible? Or some other way to install the program.

If you don't tell us what you're doing and exactly how it doesn't work, the only thing we can do is repeat the install instructions you've already followed. Please describe exactly what you've done, and what exactly is happening/not happening/what error messages you get, etc. – Mat Mar 10 at 10:31
