Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems.. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm trying to get my mouse's back and forward-buttons to work with linux-mint's default filebrowser Caja. In other applications, the buttons work fine. Just in Caja, they don't work and I don't know why.

I already stated the exact problem on the Linux-Mint forums, but nobody was at help... Here are some more details: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=124641

Summed up: back-button is recognized by xinput/xev, config via system configuration editor seems right. Back/Forward do nothing else but select/highlight files and folders and open menu entries. As usual: everysoftware up-to-date.

If anybody could help, I'm completely clueless why this happens. Thanks,

NoMad
