After having LM 13 for awhile, I decided it was time to reinstall, and this time I opted for LMDE, because the performance and the "Debian"-ness of it appealed to me. Everything appears to mostly work fine right now. The only problem I'm having is that my touchpad, which is a Macbook Pro touchpad, doesn't work with click and drag. Normally, I click with my index finger, then hold it down while my middle finger moves the window to it's new location. I had a problem with this when I tested it on a few distros, but it was never an issue on LM 13. On LMDE, as soon as I place my middle finger down, it interprets whatever I was doing as a right click and brings up the context menu.
One tutorial told me I should download the source for
usbhid-dkms and make dpkgs of them, then install those. But the
dpkg -i fails and just says "There were errors trying to install", but never tells me anything more helpful.
