How can I install the Broadcom BCM43142 driver in BackTrack 5 R1? Please can anyone guide me with step by step instructions as I am new at Linux.

Have you had a look at the How To list at backtrack-linux.org? It includes a tutorial on getting Broadcom wireless to work. If you've tried this, it might help if you altered your question to be more specific. – sr_ Jan 5 '13 at 10:46
