I've been using FreeNX on my Ubuntu machine for many months and just yesterday I've begun having troubles using it. What happens is that the FreeNX client (which is on my Windows machine) would connect to my Ubuntu machine (both on the same LAN) and it will initialize and connect fine and I would get the FreeNX logo window showing up and it will drop me into my desktop session. Then within 2-5 seconds, the desktop screen will close with an error saying:
The connection with the remote server was shut down. Please check the state of your network connection.
Under "advanced" in the FreeNX client on my Windows machine, all the options are unchecked (disable encryption of all traffic, disable ZLIB stream compression, connect through a HTTP proxy, etc).
I've tried logging in with PuTTY into the box and it does the same thing. I can login to my user but within 10 seconds I get a software abort error and get kicked out of my machine which leads me to think this is a sshd error causing all of this.
I've tried restarting the machine and restarting my router both did not fix the problem. uname -a of the machine returns

and I'm using Nomachine FreeNX client for Windows version 3.5.0-7 and I can't remember the server version and can't really check because I get kicked off too fast.
