I have been tasked with installing HP Directory server(HPDS) 8.1,64-bit as a single sign on LDAP solution in my test environment and subsequently other environments.I am new to this product
We are running HP-UX 11 v3 , I am new to HP directory server 8.21 .I have used openLDAP in Rhel5.3 as a user but not involved in setting it up.
I am trying to set this HPDS instance up as a master server(provider) in this environment and then setup replica ldap databases(consumer) in other environments

I will be using secure ssl/tls for ie ldaps, i intend to use the more controlled, custom install as opposed to typical or express install
My questions are
1.is there a client side configuration to be done once the server install is complete
I didnt see that in post installation tasks in the setup/install manual,
- Is there a better simple quick start but more detailed self explanatory guide out there
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
