Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems.. It's 100% free, no registration required.

It was supposed to be a more appealing shell than shell, with some hype some years back then and then... it died? What happened?

2000 results in a Google search isn't what I'd call hype. At least one of the authors has a likely-looking email address. – Gilles Dec 11 '10 at 12:32

@Gilles BTW hotwire-shell is just the official name. It was more commonly know as hotwire. – Tshepang Dec 11 '10 at 18:07

By the way, hotwire would be a good answer for Object-oriented shell for *nix, if it's reached a usable state. – Gilles Dec 11 '10 at 20:04
