I've installed Linux Mint 12 & Fedora 16 in VB 4.1.10 on a Windows 7 Host which has a Intel i3 processor and Intel HD 3000 graphics card. For both Linux installations I've enabled 3D acceleration and installed guest additions. However, with 3D acceleration enabled the Linux Mint installation fails immediately after user login. The Fedora installation displays a message indicating "zeitgeist-0.8.2-2.fc16 error," but continues functioning WITHOUT compiz functionality. From the research I've done online it seems that the Intel HD 3000 does support 3D acceleration and compiz/opengl. Does anyone what could be work or at least what I can do to find the root problem? Thanks.
