Is there a shortcut for GNOME desktop to restore a file which has been sent to wastebasket? I did this on windows with Ctrl+Y, I just wonder if someone uses something similar on Linux?

Does ctrl-z work? – Kevin Apr 7 '12 at 22:33
@Kevin nope, doesn't work – Zarko Djuric Apr 8 '12 at 0:41

As of v. 3.3.5 Nautilus supports undo for common file operations. The shortcut for Undo Trash is, as pointed above by Kevin, Ctrl+Z.

Note that Nautilus supports only one level of undo.
