I tried a lot of hacking mechanisms like brute force attack using hydra etc. but I never became successful in hacking into an linux ssh server. I want to know what is the best method to do that.

Please give any reference to some good links.

This is probably a service of no-answering the questions. Once you'll get hacked, not ins-and-outs libraries and howtos'd be available in that case - hacker'll own your system an once. – Xsi Nov 22 '12 at 16:01

I find the best way is to install Debian on a machine, set the root password myself, create a user account and add that to /etc/sudoers. That way I can log in whenever I want.
