Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems.. It's 100% free, no registration required.

First of all, Linux detects it okay:

sdg1: <solaris: [s0] sdg5 [s1] sdg6 [s2] sdg7 [s8] sdg8 >

But FreeBSD 9.0 does show only main partition. Possibly only Solaris labels for sparc64 is supported yet(?)…

Not sure about the FreeBSD but does FreeBSD has the capability of reading Solaris Disk Labels? Linux does for sure. – Karlson Feb 26 '12 at 1:54
@Karlson, isn't it the thing my question is all about? ) – poige Feb 26 '12 at 5:52
What's the value of kern.features.geom_sunlabel? – Karlson Feb 26 '12 at 17:00
@Karlson — it depends on whether geom_sunlabel is loaded or not. It's 1 when it's loaded. – poige Feb 27 '12 at 5:32
