I have installed BackTrack5(based on ubuntu 10.04) on my dell mini 1018 netbook,but when connect my external monitor(LG LED) to VGA port of my netbook,backtrack says second monitor is unknown,what can i do?

I guess they didn't want to deal with this over on askubuntu. Not auto-detecting the second monitor isn't so much of an issue. Check the xorg settings in an ubuntu 10.04 base install and see if manually adding that to an HD install of backtrack works. That's what I would do. –  hbdgaf Sep 19 '11 at 2:16
