Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems.. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I had installed postfix but since I didn't needed it anymore I removed it. So now the dns is broken and every time I type localhost:8080 in my address bar the browser redirects me to https://mail.example.com/ though apache is installed and properly running.

I checked named.conf.local and also other files in /etc/bind folder but they didn't contain string main.example.com

Here is my named.conf.local contents:

//
// Do any local configuration here
//

// Consider adding the 1918 zones here, if they are not used in your
// organization
//include "/etc/bind/zones.rfc1918";

What could be broken in my DNS server?
