Unix & Linux Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of Linux, FreeBSD and other Un*x-like operating systems.. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm using Fedora 19.

I've installed xrdp using instructions found here:

http://www.scottalanmiller.com/linux/2013/08/18/installing-xrdp-on-fedora-19/

Everything works great until the screen locks.

After the screen locks, I can slide the time screen up and the login form appears; it says my user name + "Authentication Error". If I put in my password, a spinner appears and it never logs me back in. Although I can click the "Log in as another user", it doesn't do anything.

The only way I've found to clear this is to restart the xrdp service but then all my windows are closed.

Is there a way to recover from the lock screen or should I turn it off?
